William Hufschmidt ¦ E-RYT 500
William Hufschmidt (E-RYT 500) journey
with healing began at age 14 as he recovered from a car accident.
Watching his breath and his thoughts helped to manage the pain and
healing of a fractured femur. Progressing through months of traction, a
wheelchair, a few casts, and eventually crutches, it took William two
years to fully regain control of his body. This early experience
fortified his belief that we can heal from anything if we consciously
navigate our healing process.
In 1989, William took his first yoga class with Lorna Brown, and
subsequently taught his first classes with her guidance and
encouragement. In 2001, William completed the 200-hour-level Yoga
Teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, and in
2007, completed Kripalu’s 500-hour training. In 2002, William first
studied Thai Yoga Therapy with Patricia Kilpatrick and Saul David Raye,
and in 2006 studied at Thailand’s esteemed Wat Po in Bangkok, then
continuing on with “Mama Lek” Chaiya in Chiang Mai. In 2012, William
completed training with the Guild for Structural Integration in the Rolf
Method for Structural Integration. William’s teachers are Yoganand
Michael Carroll, Vidya Carolyn Dell’uomo, Saul David Raye, Pierce
Salguero, and life itself.
As a teacher, William empowers students to explore their edges and
potentials. “We all do not walk the same path towards self-discovery.
However, we are all storehouses of infinite wisdom and creativity.
Through the practices of yoga, breathwork, sacred touch and play, we can
tap into inner reservoirs of energy and possibility.
Amy Stephanik, E-RYT 500, YACEP
I began my yoga journey as a teenager when my neighbor Rose gave me my first yoga book. She knew I suffered from back pain from a car accident I had experienced when I was 10 years old. Little did I know it would chart the course that would lead me on this amazing journey of self-study filled with an abundance of personal growth and many opportunities to meet some of the most amazing beings that have taught and guided me to be an authentic yoga teacher. Through my teens and into my 30s I explored many activities. I was a competitive runner, swimmer, martial artist, body builder and an avid inline skater. I was able to weave the yoga practices into my active life. The yoga helped my back pain. I was sleeping better and I could feel I was recovering quickly from my intense workouts. My practice of Asana, meditation and Bhakti yoga drew me to the Kripalu Center in Lenox Ma. I fell in love with the Kripalu practice that was filled with the essence of the teachings of Swami Kripalu. I began to share the practice with massage clients and friends. I completed the 500 hour Kripalu YTT in 2006. I went on to study Pranakriya Yoga and completed the 500 hour Pranakriya YTT in 2015. My Primary Yoga Teacher is Yoganand (Michael Carroll).
As a certified professional level Kripalu and Pranakriya Yoga Teacher I am recognized for my creative ability to work with all levels of students, from those looking for a gentle therapeutic experience to individuals working at a more intense athletic level. I have a unique passion for teaching the deeper practices of Hatha Yoga: Asana, Pranayama & meditation. Some of my other offerings are Yin, Restorative, Yoga on the Ball and Yoga in a chair.
My yoga business name is Myoga,LLC, myogaisyouryoga.com & email email@example.com . In 1999 I was the founder and co-owner of former studio known as The Comfort Zone of Ventnor and Ocean City. In 2009 I opened Myoga, LLC and closed the physical studio in September of 2015. I am currently free-lancing and teaching in the Southern New Jersey area and I am available for workshops, and private individual and group sessions.
