Emari DiGiorgio
Legend has it, Emari's long hair must remain un-cut until she removes the ancient curse placed on her bloodline, and the spell has something to do with aligning her hips in Virabhadrasana I. When she's not spending time with the love of her life, writing poems, or studying yoga, she is an Assistant Professor of Writing at Richard Stockton College and a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Poet-in-the-Schools. She completed her 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teaching Certification with Laurie Greene in 2008 and is a graduate of New York University's MFA program in poetry. She is also a recipient of a 2007 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Poetry Fellowship, and she also teaches a monthly creative writing workshop at the South Jersey chapter of Gilda's Club. Whether she's teaching metaphor or Tadasana, she hopes to create a positive and engaging learning environment, where one emerges with greater understanding and skill, a renewed sense of self, and the confidence to take risks.

Tonya DiNofrio I have 3 children whom I've very proud of and a wonderful, supportive husband. I have a degree in mathematics and was a statistician before having children. I quit work when my first was born and have loved it. I've been cycling competitively for many years - began riding seriously 17 years ago with my husband John. I've taught group fitness classes for 23 years and have been a personal trainer as well. Recurring injuries brought me to my knees - literally. I began to study yoga with much more intensity 2 years ago. I've found it to be my greatest medicine. I strive to find balance in all areas of my life - physically, spiritually and mentally. I believe the body was meant to move and our culture doesn't do enough of it. I believe there are many paths to God or Enlightenment and we each must find our own and be respectful of others' paths. And I believe we need more mental stimulation than our TV driven culture provides :-)
